Heritage Collection wins 2024 London Wine Competition medals

The London Wine Competition is an international wine competition organised by Beverage Trade Network. The competition looks to recognise, reward and help promote wine brands that have excel in all areas, including quality, value and packaging. The panel of judges at the competition consists of top master sommeliers, master’s of wines and trade buyers from some top London restaurants. This year Canned Wine Co. entered our new Heritage collection Verdejo and Gamay into the competition, and were delighted with the results.

Both our Gamay and Verdejo were awarded silver medals in their inaugural competition entries. We’re extremely proud to see the quality, value and packaging being recognised by some of the best experts in the wine industry.

Verdejo can

The judges awarded our Verdejo an impressive 88 points for its “aromas of apple and citrus fruit like lemon zest. flavours of lime, grapefruit, grass, fennel and citrus blossom. Dry wine with balanced acidity”. Whilst the panel of wine experts noted the Gamay’s “red fruit flavour of red cherry and strawberry. light-bodied wine with medium acidity and medium finish”, also warranting the wine a silver medal.

Gamay can

Both wines represent truly iconic regions, the Verdejo from Rueda and the Gamay from the Loire valley, and have now proved that these iconic tastes and flavours can be canned and delivered to your door.
