Wine influencer and supermarket wine guide aficionado Luke Flunder has included our 2025 Organic Grüner in his round-up for The Independent newspaper. Flunder has a following of over 215,000 wine fans.
His article, Best supermarket canned wine for picnics and festivals, described the Grüner white wine as "a step up in quality", reviewing it as an "aromatic Austrian white with crisp green apple, citrus and a peppery spice lift". The Independent also showcases our sourcing of unusual grape varieties alongside our more classic choices.
The Grüner, our best-selling white wine, is made by Markus Huber in the north-eastern region of Lower Austria. Huber sources fruit from vineyards along the banks of the Danube River, allowing for a consistent balance of fresh acidity and ripe fruit.
In the same article, Flunder also talked about our Gamay from Loire wine producer Lionel Gosseaume. He described the wine as "light, fresh and lifted with red berry fruit" and singled it out as a "smart pick for barbecues". We have the 2021 and 2024 vintages of Gamay available online here.
