Dessert may not be the first thing that pops in your mind when thinking about wine, but it is a great food pairing! Whether you have a sweet tooth or not, it’s all about matching the flavours and sweetness level.

A typical pairing would be Sauterne with créme brûlée or Port with sticky toffee pudding. It is important to consider the sugar level in the wine and the dessert. For example, the sweeter the chocolate, the sweeter your wine choice can be. Therefore, a dry sparkling rosé works with fresh fruit, a late harvest white wine with velvety white chocolate or an oaked buttery white with pastry desserts.

Here are our top tips to pair our award-winning canned wines with dessert:
Our Grüner Veltliner works really with a cheese board, due to its low sugar content and zesty acidity.
Our Grenache Rosé shines with meringue-based desserts, poached pears, as well as berry desserts, from fresh summer berries to raspberry pie.
Finally our Old Vine Garnacha works fantastic with high fat chocolate due to its cherry, strawberry and cocoa aromas. This could be a low-sugar brownie, a chocolate mousse or a high-fat dark chocolate like from our friends at Solkiki.
